ATHENS (AA) - France’s public consumer body announced that La Galois brand whole chickens were recalled because of a suspected listeria infection.
Rappel Conso urged customers not to consume the chickens and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The situation particularly concerns batches of chicken sold between May 30 and June 7 at major retailers including Carrefour, Auchan, Intermarche, Systeme U and Leclerc, it said.
The agency urged those who have used the chickens before and have an isolated fever or accompanied by headaches to consult a physician.
