ANKARA (AA) - In a blow to the team, English football club Leicester City's Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu has been banned for the remainder of the season.
"Centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, meanwhile, is now suspended for the rest of the campaign after his sending off in the game," the club said on its website.
"Marc [Albrighton] picked up a knock so we’ll see how he is tomorrow and obviously we’re without Caglar [Soyuncu], which is a big blow for us," Manager Brendan Rogers said in a statement.
The 24-year-old got a three-match ban after receiving a red card for kicking a Bournemouth player in Premier League match day 35.
Fox defender Soyuncu has apologized for the incident.
"Every moment I put this jersey on, I try to be aware of my responsibilities on the pitch," Soyuncu wrote on Twitter on Monday.
"I know I made all of you and myself upset with an instant mistake," he added.
