Lille thrashed Martinique side Golden Lion 12-0 in a French Cup match Saturday as the French Ligue 1 club secured their all-time largest win.
Golden Lion, a club from the Caribbean, made an 8,000-mile trip only to suffer a big loss in Lille in the contest's Round of 64.
Martinique, a French overseas territory, is a small island in the Caribbean Sea.
Canada forward Jonathan David and Edon Zhegrova from Kosovo each scored hat-tricks. Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yazici and Icelandic winger Hakon Arnar Haraldsson scored two goals apiece against Golden Lion.
Tiago Santos and Amine Messoussa were the other scorers.
Lille took 36 shots, including 22 on target, while Golden Lion had one effort.
