Lithuania's Sarunas Jasikevicius was appointed as the new head coach of Fenerbahce Beko, the basketball team based in Istanbul announced on Thursday.
The 47-year-old signed with the Yellow Canaries until the end of 2025-26 season.
The four-time EuroLeague champion has played for clubs such as Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Panathinaikos, Zalgiris Kaunas, as well as Fenerbahce Beko.
In 2016, he was appointed head coach of Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas, leading the team to five league titles, three Lithuanian Cups and one Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four.
In 2020, Jasikevicius joined Barcelona as head coach and played in three Final Fours with the Spanish team, winning two Spanish League titles and two Spanish Cup titles.
