The visitors' Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira drew first blood with a right footed shot to the top right corner in the 11th minute.
The Reds' veteran Scottish defender Andrew Robertson was sent-off with a red card in the 17th minute.
Despite playing with 10 players, Liverpool managed to equalize at the beginning of the second half with a goal by Dutch midfielder Cody Gakpo in the 47th minute.
Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz's shot to the bottom right corner brought the lead to Fulham once again.
Portuguese attacker Diogo Jota's equalizer in the 96th minute salvaged one point for Liverpool.
Liverpool still have the top spot with 36 points, while Fulham lay at the 9th spot with 24 points.

In another English Premier League week 16 match of Saturday, Arsenal got a goalless draw with Everton.
The Gunners wasted the chance to grab a home win at Emirates Stadium.
Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka came close to score but Everton's English international goalie Jordan Pickford put on a good display in the game.
Arsenal remained on 30 points with this draw and missed the chance to get ahead of their rivals Chelsea, which are in the second spot with 31 points.
Everton are at the 15th spot with 15 points.
