ANKARA (AA) – The English Premier League side Liverpool secured a hard-fought 3-2 win against AC Milan in a thrilling Champions League opener Wednesday.
Trent Alexander-Arnold scored an early opener for the home side in the ninth minute while Mohamed Salah missed a penalty in the 14th minute at Anfield, Liverpool's ground.
Goals from Ante Rebic and Brahim Diaz, however, gave Milan a 2-1 lead before the first half ended.
In the second half, Liverpool completed comeback with the goals from Salah and Jordan Henderson, taking all three points in the Group B.
