ANKARA (AA) - Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker on Wednesday renewed his contract with the club.
"Alisson Becker has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC," the English Premier League club said in a statement.
The Reds did not mention the length of his new contract.
Alisson, 28, who joined Liverpool from Italy's Roma in 2018, said the decision was an easy one.
"I think I didn't waste too much time to think about that. It's something we just built in those last three years, the confidence, the trust that I have in the club and the club has in myself."
He added: "I'm really glad that I can keep going on with my work here, doing a good job here. So, I'm really happy to make this decision – that is not hard for me.”
To date the Brazilian international has had 130 appearances for Liverpool.
Alisson helped Liverpool win the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, as well as the 2020 English Premier League title.
