Reds cement their top seat with 30 points, while reigning champions Sky Blues drop to 5th spot with 23 points

Liverpool handed reigning champions Manchester City their fourth consecutive defeat in the English Premier League with 2-0 on Sunday.

Dutch forward Cody Gakpo made good use of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah's assist with a close range shot to bring lead to the hosts at Anfield.

Salah converted a penalty shot into a goal in the 78th minute with a low drive.

This game marked the first time in City head coach Pep Guardiola’s managerial career that he has lost four consecutive league matches.

With this result, the Reds cemented their top seat with 30 points, nine points in front of followers Arsenal, while reigning champions the Sky Blues dropped to the 5th spot with 23 points.
