ANKARA (AA) - Liverpool were handed a 3-3 home draw with Brighton and Hove Albion as the visitors' Belgian forward Leandro Trossard scored a hat trick in the Saturday English Premier League match.
Trossard scored in the fourth and 17th minutes to give Brighton a 2-0 lead at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium.
Liverpool leveled the match after Roberto Firmino's brace in the 33rd and 54th minutes.
The home team came back in the 63rd minute as Brighton's English defender Adam Webster scored an own goal.
Brighton's hero, Trossard, was unmarked in the area to score the equalizer in the 83rd minute, 3-3.
The match ended in a draw, so both sides shared points.
Trossard was named man of the match.
Ninth in the league, Liverpool have 10 points in seven matches.
Brighton have 14 points and are in the fourth spot in the league, led by Arsenal, who have bagged 21 points so far.
In the meantime, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park, London.
Crystal Palace were unable to secure a 1-0 lead against Chelsea at home.
French forward Odsonne Edouard scored for Crystal Palace in the seventh minute.
But, Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a volley in minute 38.
This was Aubameyang's first goal for Chelsea.
Near the end of the game, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher scored outside the box as the Blues secured a 2-1 win in the away match.
Chelsea are in the fifth spot with 13 points. Crystal Palace have six points and are close to the relegation zone in the Premier League.
