ISTANBUL (AA) - Two second-half goals propelled Liverpool to victory over Inter Milan in an away match Wednesday during the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last 16.
Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the first half at San Siro Stadium.
In the 59th minute, Inter Milan netted a goal with Bosnian star Edin Dzeko, but it was disallowed for an offside.
Liverpool scored with a header from Roberto Firmino in the 75th minute while Mohamed Salah produced a close-range goal in the 83rd minute.
- Bayern draw 1-1 with Salzburg on road
Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 draw with Red Bull Salzburg at Stadion Salzburg.
Chukwubuike Adamu opened the scoring for Salzburg in the 21st minute while Bayern Munich leveled the match with a stoppage-time goal from Kingsley Coman.
