ISTANBUL (AA) — Liverpool triumphed 2-0 over Everton on Saturday in their Merseyside derby with both goals by striker Mohamed Salah.
On matchday nine of the English Premier League, Everton were down to 10 men after Ashley Young got a red card in the 37th minute at Anfield stadium.
Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the first half.
Thirty minutes into the second half, Mohamed Salah converted a penalty. He later scored a stoppage-time goal to win the Reds the derby at home.
The result boosted Liverpool's points to 20, while Everton has collected seven points so far.
