ISTANBUL (AA) - Trent Alexander-Arnold will be sidelined for weeks with a knee injury, Liverpool confirmed Tuesday.
"So he has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee and he will need time to recover," assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders said in a statement. "He had a scan and he will be out for a few weeks, so let's see after that."
The right-back was injured during a 2-0 win against Arsenal on Sunday at the Emirates in the Emirates FA Cup.
He helped Liverpool win the 2019 UEFA Champions League title, the 2020 UEFA Super Cup and the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.
The 25-year-old has two goals and nine assists in 25 matches for the Reds this season.
