BIRMINGHAM, England (AA) — A woman has called on the British King to support a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip during a royal visit to the Ealing Christmas Market on Thursday.
“King Charles. Sir, please call for a cease-fire,” a Londoner named Noor shouted at King Charles, who remained silent at the call. “Mary Christmas. Free Palestine,” she added before the king moved on in the crowd.
“Great to see King Charles visiting the Ealing Christmas Market. But in the urgency of the current ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza, the silence is deafening. So here was my message to him,” she said in her X account.
The British king has remained silent over the continuous Israeli attacks on Gaza and the mass anti-war protests across the country.
