ANKARA (AA) - Iraq’s first low-cost carrier began flights between Baghdad and Turkey’s capital with a ceremony at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport on Monday.
Fly Baghdad airlines will offer twice-a-week service between the two capitals, on Monday and Friday, said its Turkey Director Mujgan Dikmen.
The first flight from Baghdad to Ankara is set to arrive on Monday, she said, delayed two hours due to bad weather.
Every new flight brings new possibilities, a new culture, and facilities for people, said Murat Soylu, a top official at Esenboga.
He added: "Efforts to attract more direct flights from Ankara to other countries are continuing."
