ISTANBUL (AA) - An annual major economic event began both physically and virtually in the Turkish metropolis Istanbul on Wednesday with the theme "Are We Ready for the New World?"
Istanbul is hosting the two-day Uludag Economy Summit this year rather than the ski resort of Bursa due to the pandemic.
Organized by Turkish magazines Capital and Ekonomist since 2012, the summit will focus on industry, trade, manufacturing, finance, energy, agriculture, and technology.
The event was called off last year due to COVID-19 pandemic measures.
The summit will feature businesspeople, economists, top officials, including Turkish government ministers, and academics from Turkey and around the world.
Leaders and representatives of global companies will be attending the summit as well.
