ISTANBUL (AA) - One of the world's largest tourism fairs opened Tuesday in Istanbul.
Thousands of sector professionals, customers and companies participated in the 27th edition of the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition.
The four-day event hosts more than 300 buyers, especially from the Balkans, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
Companies from Germany, Bulgaria, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, Japan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Venezuela are also in attendance.
On the first day, medical tourism was discussed and a report related to trends in 2024 was revealed.
The event was organized by the Türkiye Hoteliers Federation and the Turkish Tourism Investors Association, and sponsored by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, the Turkish Trade Ministry, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Turkish Airlines.
