Seeking concrete solutions to international problems, the TRT World Forum will be held in Istanbul on Nov. 29-30 under the theme "A World at the Breaking Point: Managing Crises and Transformations."

Speaking to Anadolu, the director general of Turkish public broadcaster TRT, Zahid Sobaci, said the TRT World Forum, first organized in 2017 and now in its 8th year, will draw the world’s attention to Türkiye.

Sobaci emphasized that the TRT World Forum was established as a platform to discuss ideas aimed at making the world a more livable and just place.

He highlighted their ongoing efforts over the years to move away from a one-dimensional media perspective on global events, seeking ways to articulate these issues from a broader perspective and with a stronger voice.

Sobaci pointed out that the TRT World Forum is not just a discussion platform but also a venue for presenting concrete solutions to international problems.

"In this sense, our forum plays a pivotal role on a global scale by bringing together experts and fostering cooperation.

"Through the TRT World Forum, we listen to the rising voices of the oppressed across various regions," he added.

"With the participation of government officials, policymakers, academics, business leaders, and intellectuals from around the globe, we examine what can be done to find solutions with a unity of mind and spirit," he said.

Sobaci stated that the TRT World Forum will host over 1,500 participants from various regions and nearly 150 speakers from more than 30 countries.

The speakers will engage in discussions on significant topics through panel sessions and roundtable meetings during the two-day event, he added.
