TORONTO, Canada (AA) - A man in the Canadian city of Toronto was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening a pro-Palestine demonstrator.
The pro-Palestinian rally took place near a synagogue in northern Toronto's Thornhill district.
The demonstration, which was reportedly attended by around 100 people, remained peaceful until a man with a nail gun acted aggressively toward one of the protesters.
"Police are investigating a male involved in the demonstration," York Regional Police said on X.
Noting that the investigation is ongoing, they assured that "there is no risk to public safety at this time" and said no injuries were reported.
