ANKARA (AA) - Manchester City's all-time leading scorer Sergio Aguero will be out for multiple weeks over a muscle injury.
City's Spanish manager Pep Guardiola Monday has confirmed that the Argentine striker may miss the derby against city rivals Manchester United on Dec. 7.
''He has a tendon problem in front -- so will be a few games out,'' Guardiola said in a press conference ahead of City's Champions League match over Shakhtar Donetsk.
"We will miss Sergio, we have had some problems with injuries but we will wait for him and meanwhile we have Gab and Sterling who can play in that position.''
Aguero suffered injury in the Saturday's Premier League match when Manchester City defeated Chelsea 2-1 with comeback at Etihad Stadium.
He was subbed out in the 77th minute to be replaced by Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
The 31-year-old striker is vital to Manchester City, as he produced 13 goals and 2 assists in 16 matches this season.
Aguero also became an all-time leading goal scorer of the Premier League side with 244 goals in 354 games.
