Man City score late goal to secure 2-2 draw with 10-man Arsenal at home

Manchester City salvaged a 2-2 draw with 10-man Arsenal in a Sunday home match to stay on the top of the English Premier League table.

Man City's Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland scored an early opener at the Etihad Stadium. It was his 100th Man City goal in all competitions. Haaland, 24, has been a Man City regular since 2022.

In the minute 22, Arsenal's Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori scored a finesse shot outside the penalty area to equalize.

Near the end of the first half, Arsenal's Gabriel scored header from corner to put the visitors in front.

Arsenal were down to 10 men after Belgian forward Leandro Trossard has received his second yellow card in the stoppage time of the first half. He has been already booked.

During the second half, Man City dictated the tempo of the game while Arsenal were battling for three points.

In the 98th minute, Man City defender John Stones scored inside the area after a scramble to break Arsenal's resistance and rescue his team, 2-2.

Manchester City are leading the league with 13 points in five matches.

Arsenal have 11 points to be in the fourth spot.

Liverpool and Aston Villa have 12 points each to chase the leaders.
