Man City's Sterling joins 100-goals club in English Premier League

Raheem Sterling's penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers makes him 32nd player in league history to reach 100 goals

ISTANBUL (AA) – Manchester City star Raheem Sterling became the 32nd player to net 100 Premier League goals with his penalty in a 1-0 win over 10-man Wolverhampton on Saturday.

"Massive 3 points and honoured to join the 100 club," Sterling tweeted.

The 27-year-old's penalty goal helped City to claim their sixth successive English Premier League win.

The left-winger is the third player of 2021 to reach 100 goals after Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Having 38 points, Manchester City lead standings one point ahead of second-place Liverpool.

Sterling scored 120 goals and 89 assists in 314 matches for City. He won three Premier League titles with his team.
