ISTANBUL (AA) - Manchester United confirmed on Friday that Lisandro Martinez has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after fracturing a bone in his foot.
"The Argentinian defender is expected to make a full recovery in time to be ready for the start of next season," the Red Devils said in a statement.
Martinez, 25, sustained the injury to his metatarsal bone on Thursday, in a 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Europa League.
Man U also said that defender Raphael Varane, who went off with an injury at half-time in the same clash, is expected to be out for a few weeks.
