ISTANBUL (AA) - Manchester City tasted a 4-1 win over Liverpool on matchday 29 of the English Premier League on Saturday to close the gap at the top of the table to five points.
Liverpool broke the deadlock when Mohamed Salah finished from close range in the 17th minute, giving the visitors the lead at the Etihad stadium.
Julian Alvarez leveled the game in the 27th minute, while Kevin De Bruyne took the lead in the 46th minute for Manchester City.
Ilkay Gundogan extended his side's lead to 3-1 in the 53rd minute, while Jack Grealish capped off a brilliant display and scored another goal for the Sky Blues in the 74th minute, and the match ended 4-1.
Manchester City have 64 points, five points behind leaders Arsenal, while Liverpool are ranked sixth with 42 points.
