ANKARA (AA) - Manchester City forward Ferran Torres has injured his foot, the English Premier League club said Thursday.
"Ferran Torres has suffered an injury to his right foot whilst on international duty," Manchester City said in a statement.
Torres, 21, had a "small fracture" that Man City will monitor and further updates on his recovery will be disclosed, it added.
Torres scored twice against Italy in the Oct. 6 UEFA Nations League semifinal as Spain secured a 2-1 victory to qualify for the final.
He played in the final where France won 2-1 on Oct. 10.
A pure Valencia product, Torres joined Manchester City in 2020.
He scored 16 goals in 43 appearances for Man City.
Torres helped the English club win the 2021 Premier League title.
