ISTANBUL (AA) - Manchester City star Jack Grealish's home was burgled during the club’s English Premier League match against Everton on Wednesday, Sky News reported on Friday.
The incident happened while Grealish was playing during Manchester City's 3-1 win over Everton. The burglars stole $1.2 million worth of jewelry and watches from his mansion in Cheshire, a county in northwest England.
A statement from Cheshire Police in northwestern England said the officers, who were supported by the police dogs and National Police Air Service were deployed and searches were conducted in the local area, but there was no trace of the suspects.
The English left-winger produced three goals and had two assists in 21 matches this season.
During his time with the Sky Blues, Grealish collected the 2023 UEFA Champions League trophy, the 2023/24 UEFA Super Cup, and the 2024 FIFA Club World Cup.
The 28-year-old was part of the squad during EURO 2020 where they lost to Italy in the final.
