ANKARA (AA) - Manchester United substitutes Fred and Anthony Elanga checked in to score second-half goals in a rain-hit English Premier League match Sunday against Leeds United as the Red Devils earned a 4-2 win.
English defender Harry Maguire scored a header in the 34th minute for Manchester United at Elland Road.
Manchester United doubled the lead near the end of the first half as Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored a header.
But Leeds United's Rodrigo scored after a 53rd-minute cross that beat Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
The home team leveled the game in a minute when Raphinha finished in the far post after Daniel James' low pass.
Brazilian midfielder Fred scored from a narrow angle to give Manchester United a 3-2 lead in the 70th minute.
Then another Manchester United sub, Swedish forward Elanga, finished in a one-on-one after Bruno Fernandes' assist in the 88th minute.
Following the away win, fourth-place Manchester United increased their points to 46 in 26 matches.
Leeds United are currently in 15th spot as they collected 23 points in 24 league games.
The 2021-22 Premier League is led by Manchester City, who have 63 points.
