Manchester United took their first points in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League campaign after a 1-0 win over Copenhagen on Tuesday.
Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen's cross from the right flank connected with Harry Maguire in the area and the English central defender scored the winner with a header in the 72nd minute at Manchester's Old Trafford stadium.
Visitors Copenhagen were awarded a penalty in the 95th minute as Man Utd's Scott McTominay fouled Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Following a VAR review, a penalty for Copenhagen was confirmed.
Copenhagen's Swedish forward Jordan Larsson took the penalty kick, but it was saved by Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Man Utd, who lost to Bayern Munich 4-3 in September and to Galatasaray 3-2 earlier this month, have three points from three matches to come third in Group A, led by Bayern Munich, who have nine points.
The English team are only a point behind Istanbul's Galatasaray, who lost to Bayern Munich 3-1 in a home match earlier Tuesday.
Copenhagen are at the bottom of Group A with a point.
In their next fixture, Man Utd will visit Copenhagen at Parken Stadium on Nov. 8.
On the same day, Bayern Munich will host Galatasaray at the Allianz Arena.
