ISTANBUL (AA) - Maritime traffic in the Istanbul Strait will be temporarily suspended in both directions on Friday due to the passage of a pipe-laying vessel, according to maritime authorities.
All maritime traffic will be stopped during the passage of the Bahama-flagged Castorone pipe-laying vessel traveling from the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara
Traffic is expected to be halted at 14:00 local time.
The strait connects international ship traffic from the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara and further on to the Mediterranean Sea.
