ANKARA (AA) - Maxi Jazz, the lead singer of the British dance band Faithless, whose real name was Maxwell Fraser, has died at the age of 65 in his sleep on Friday night, the band announced on Saturday.
Jazz, who is both a musician and a DJ, was the core figure of the band.
Announcing his death on Twitter, his band said: “We are heartbroken to say Maxi Jazz died peacefully in his sleep last night.”
“He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways,” the music group emphasized, adding: “He gave proper meaning and a message to our music.”
“He was a lovely human being with time for everyone and wisdom that was both profound and accessible,” it added.
