ANKARA (AA) - McLaren's driver Daniel Ricciardo has tested positive for COVID-19, Formula 1 confirmed on Friday.
"He is currently isolating but already feeling better and will be released for the Bahrain GP under protocol. Wishing Daniel a speedy recovery," F1 tweeted.
The 32-year-old Australian missed trainings on Thursday and Friday after he began feeling unwell.
Ricciardo is expected to return for the first race of the 2022 Formula 1 season in Bahrain on March 20.
The driver said on Twitter that he has started to feel better and appreciated the many get-well wishes he has received.
