BEIRUT (AA) - A number of nurses and health workers on Friday were wounded from Israeli artillery shelling on a hospital's courtyard in southern Lebanon, state news agency NNA reported.
The Israeli army struck the vicinity and courtyard of the Salah Ghandour Hospital in the town of Bint Jbeil with at least four artillery shells.
The shelling left several nurses and health workers injured.
The agency earlier said the entire staff of Marjayoun public hospital in southern Lebanon was evacuated, putting the hospital out of service after an Israeli threat to target it.
The conflict in Gaza spread to Lebanon when Israel launched deadly strikes across the country late last month, killing more than 1,100 people, displacing tens of thousands and assassinating Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. A ground invasion was announced on Tuesday.
