ANKARA (AA) – Latest Turkish Super Lig winners Medipol Basaksehir let Gokhan Inler go as the Swiss midfielder's contract ended on Wednesday.
The Istanbul club said in a statement that a Basaksehir player since 2017, Gokhan Inler's deal expired.
It thanked the 36-year-old for his services and wished Inler best for future.
Before Basaksehir, Inler had played for Italy's Udinese and Napoli, English Premier League team Leicester City, and Turkish giants Besiktas.
He won the 2016 Premier League title with Leicester City.
Inler claimed the Turkish league title twice, with Besiktas (2017) and Basaksehir (2020).
The defensive midfielder played in 89 matches for the Swiss national team.
