ISTANBUL (AA) - Lionel Messi will not be available for Paris Saint-Germain in Wednesday's Ligue 1 game vs. Metz due to injury, PSG said confirmed on Tuesday.
"Lionel Messi, who took a knock to his left knee against Lyon, underwent an MRI on Tuesday morning which confirmed signs of bruising of the bone. A follow-up examination will be carried out in 48 hours," PSG said in a statement.
Messi, 34, who joined PSG from Barcelona in August, played three games and yet to score or make an assist.
Argentine superstar is a six-time Ballon d'Or winner, led Barca to 10 La Liga championships, seven Copa del Rey titles, eight Spanish Super Cups, three FIFA Club World Cups, and three UEFA Super Cups.
