ISTANBUL (AA) – Mexico saw a trade deficit of $1.48 billion in September, the country's statistical authority revealed on Friday.
The figure is an increase from a $910 million deficit recorded in August, while the total trade deficit increased to more than $10 billion in the first nine months of 2023, said the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
The value of merchandise exports reached almost $49.6 billion in September, down 5.1% from the same month the previous year, INEGI said in a statement.
The value of imports totaled more than $51.1 billion last month, an annual decrease of 3.9%.
