ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico saw a trade deficit of $585 million in February, according to the country's statistical authority data.
The figure, however, is a decline from almost $1.9 billion deficit recorded in the same month of last year, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said Wednesday in a statement.
In the first two months of 2024, the trade balance showed a deficit of almost $4.9 billion, INEGI said.
In February, the value of merchandise exports reached almost $50.72 billion, up 13% from the same month of the previous year.
The value of imports totaled more than $51.31 billion last month, an annual increase of 9.7%.
