ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's industrial activity annually increased 2.1% in March with seasonally adjusted figures in real terms, according to the country's statistical authority on Friday.
The figure showed an expansion of 3.3% in February.
The construction sector led the increase with a gain of 9.6%, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
On a monthly basis, industrial activity in March grew 0.6%, compared to the previous month, after recording a 0.1% contraction in February.
Although the construction sector increased 1.1% in March on a monthly basis, mining contracted 1.2%, according to INEGI.
