ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's consumer inflation rose 0.38% in June, compared to the previous month, according to figures released Tuesday.
The figure was above expectations of a 0.24% gain, and it accelerated from a monthly decline of 0.19% recorded in May.
Monthly, merchandise prices rose 0.18% and services prices gained 0.27% last month, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography said in a statement.
The consumer price index increased by 4.98% in June, compared to the same month in 2023.
That figure also was above estimates of 4.84%, while it picked up pace from an annual gain of 4.69% in May.
