ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's consumer inflation increased annually and monthly in January, according to figures released Thursday.
Annual consumer inflation came in at 4.88% last month, rising from December's 4.66%, said the national statistics agency INEGI.
The figure came in line with the expectations.
Consumer prices increased 0.89% in January, also gaining pace from a 0.71% monthly increase recorded in December.
The estimate for the figure was to show a monthly gain of 0.88%.
