Mexico's consumer inflation up 1.05% in July

Consumer prices increase 5.57% annually

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's consumer inflation rose 1.05% in July, compared to the previous month, according to figures released Thursday.

The figure was slightly above expectations of a 1.02% increase, while it accelerated from a monthly gain of 0.38% in June.

Monthly merchandise prices rose 0.12% and service prices gained 0.55% last month, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography said in a statement.

The consumer price index increased 5.57% in July, compared to the same month in 2023.

That figure came in line with market estimates, while it picked up pace from an annual gain of 4.98% in June.
