ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's economic activity in April rose 0.9% in real terms at an annual rate with seasonally adjusted series, the country's statistical authority announced Friday.
The figure showed a slowdown from the year-on-year increase of 3.3% recorded in March.
Annually, secondary and tertiary activities increased 0.6% and 1.3%, respectively, but secondary activities fell 1%, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
On a monthly basis, however, economic activity posted a 0.6% decrease in April compared to the previous month.
That figure showed a monthly increase of 0.3% in March.
While primary activities declined 2.5%, secondary and tertiary activities fell 0.5% and 0.6% at a monthly rate, respectively.
