ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's economic activity in June fell 3.9% in real terms at an annual rate with a seasonally adjusted series, the country's statistical authority announced Wednesday.
The market expectation of the figure was to show a 1.9% decrease, while the annual figure for May was revised up to an increase of 2.3% from a gain of 1.6%.
Annually, agriculture, livestock, hunting and forestry sector showed an increase of 82.4%, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
This sector was followed by mining and quarrying with a rise of 4.6%, according to INEGI.
On a monthly basis, economic activity posted a 0.3% increase in June compared to the previous month.
That figure showed a monthly gain of 0.7% in May.
