ISTANBUL (AA) – Mexico's economy expanded 3.3% annually in the third quarter of 2023, according to the country's statistics agency INEGI on Tuesday.
The figure came slightly higher than the market expectation of 3.2%, while the North American country's economy grew 3.6% in the second quarter from the same period of last year.
Mexico's economy expanded 3.1% in 2022.
The gross domestic product rose 0.9% in the third quarter, compared to the previous quarter, also coming slightly higher than the market estimate of a 0.8% increase.
On a quarterly basis, the economy grew 0.8% in the April-June period, compared to the previous quarter.
In the first nine months of 2023, with seasonally adjusted series, the GDP increased 3.5% at an annual rate, INEGI said.
