ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's industrial activity expanded 0.2% in July with seasonally adjusted figures compared to the previous month, the statistical authority said Wednesday.
The figure followed an expansion of 0.4% in June.
The construction sector grew 2.6%, while mining increased 2.4%, but manufacturing industries contracted 0.8%, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
On an annual basis, industrial activity increased 0.6% with seasonally adjusted figures, following an annual increase of 0.4% in June.
The construction sector annually grew 4.4%, followed by energy generation, transmission and distribution with 2.7%.
Annually, however, mining decreased 0.2%, while manufacturing industries contracted 0.6%.
