ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's industrial production rose 0.4% in January from the previous month, according to the country's statistical authority on Tuesday.
The figure came in line with market estimates, following a 0.7% contraction in December 2023.
The manufacturing sector led the increase in January with a gain of 2.2%, followed by 0.2% in manufacturing, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said in a statement.
On an annual basis, industrial activity in January expanded 1.9%, compared to the same month of last year.
The expansion was led by construction, which increased 17.9% year-on-year.
