ANKARA (AA) - Mexico's annual industrial production increased 2.6% in July, the country's statistical authority revealed on Friday.
The market expectation for the figure was to come in at 3%, while the annual gain in June was revised to 3.7% from 3.8%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 0.4% in July. In June, industrial output also increased 0.1% month-on-month, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
In July, manufacturing industries posted the largest advance at 1.6%, but mining activity decreased the most with 2.5%, INEGI said in a statement.
Annually, the manufacturing sector was again the biggest gainer with 6.7%, while construction fell the most with 0.8%.
