Mexico's producer prices pick up pace in June

Producer prices rise 1.39% monthly, 5.07% annually

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's producer prices picked up pace in June on monthly and annual bases, according to figures released Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

The producer price index rose 1.39% in June, compared to the previous month, INEGI said in a statement.

The figure showed an acceleration from May when it recorded a monthly gain of 0.45%.

At a monthly rate, primary prices grew 0.95%, secondary increased 1.88% and tertiary activities rose 0.56%, said INEGI.

Producer prices increased 5.07% in June, compared to the same month of 2023.

That figure also picked up pace from an annual gain of 3.33% seen in May.
