Mexico's producer prices slow down in July

Producer inflation, however, shows acceleration on annual basis

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's producer prices showed a monthly slowdown in July, according to figures released Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

The figure posted a monthly increase of 0.71% in July, showing a slowdown from the month-on-month gain of 1.39% recorded in June.

At a monthly rate, primary prices grew 1.67%, secondary increased 0.4% and tertiary activities rose 1.11%, said INEGI.

Annually, producer prices increased 5.46% in July, compared to the same month of 2023.

That figure, however, showed an acceleration from an annual gain of 5.07% seen in June.
