ISTANBUL (AA) – Mexico's retail sales rose 3.8% in October on an annual basis, beating market estimates, the country's statistical authority said on Tuesday.
The market expectation for the figure was to come in at 3.3%, while retail sales in September rose 3.3% year-on-year.
On a monthly basis, retail sales rose 0.7% in October, also coming above market estimates, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography.
The expectation for the figure was a monthly gain of 0.4%.
In September, retail sales showed a contraction of 0.2% month-on-month.
