ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's unemployment rate fell to 3% in August, according to data Thursday from its statistical institute.
The figure is a decline of 0.1 percentage point from 3.1% in July.
The economically active population was 61 million in August, which was 1.3 million more than the same month last year, according to National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) figures.
In August, 59.2 million people, or 97%, were employed among the economically active population. It was 1.6 million more compared with the same month in 2022.
The unemployed population was 1.8 million in August, while the unemployment rate was 3% of the economically active population, the figures showed.
