ISTANBUL (AA) - Mexico's unemployment rate stood steady at 2.8% in December, on a seasonally adjusted rate, according to statistics released Thursday.
The figure came in line with expectations.
The economically active population was 60.7 million in December, or 1.1 million more than during the same month in 2022, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
In December, 59.1 million people, or 97.4%, were employed among the economically active population -- 1.2 million more compared to the same month in 2022.
The unemployed population was 1.6 million in December, while the unemployment rate was 2.6% of the economically active population.
